What special relationship, if any,
was there between Egypt's
Eighteenth Dynasty royalty and the
royalty of Kush? Why were Kushite
princes sent to Egypt to be raised?
Why were Queen Tiye and her son,
Akhenaten, so often depicted
wearing two uraeus (sacred snakes)
on their crowns? Was Yuya (Tiye's
father) a mixed-race Kushite? If so,
would this explain why Amenhotep
III (Tiye's husband) built major
monuments and temples in Kush,
Egypt and Goshen?
